Predictive Models or BOT are an automated sequence of computer algorithms providing quantitative indicators (e.g., in form of probability or percentage incidence) related to clinical outcomes of various kinds. Examples for Clinical BOT’s are: the risk of critical evolution of impending pathologies; the evaluation of therapy efficacy, or comorbidity risk; instead, examples for Process BOT’s are: the evaluation of the most effective processes in terms of clinical pathways, duration of a therapeutic treatment, or the use of critical resources such as intensive care.
