To investigate whether the COVID-19 pandemic and national lockdown had an impact on the extent of cancer disease at FDG PET/CT staging as surrogate marker.
Cancer patients with advanced disease at FDG PET/CT staging significantly increased by 1.5 times in 2020 compared with 2019, because of the national lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
