The Real World Data (RWD) facility offers services to extract, analyze and process large data volumes through advanced Artificial Intelligence and machine learning techniques. The facility is specialized in the development of automated extraction systems (BOTS), predictive models capable to simulate complex multidimensional clinical scenarios (Avatar) and “Data Products” through aggregation and synthesis of Data Marts. Furthermore, the RWD facility creates secondary databases, which continue to update and bridge their data with other databanks, to integrate and process heterogeneous data from clinic laboratories, images, -omics and wearables.
The primary purpose of the facility is to offer support systems for information availability to the benefit the patient and community, ensuring availability of information, which is easy to interpret by professionals.
Through this service, specialized clinical data sets for each single pathology ('Data Mart') can be created collecting and integrating data of different sources to provide a consistent and patient-centered view...
Predictive Models – BOT
Predictive Models or BOT are an automated sequence of computer algorithms providing quantitative indicators (e.g., in form of probability or percentage incidence) related to clinical outcomes of various kinds...
Predictive Models – AVATAR
AVATAR are models of synthetic representation of patient types (so-called “virtual patients” or “digital twins”) created by analyzing the clinical history of similar patient groups in terms of symptoms, demographic aspects and evolution of the clinical picture...
Organization of trials – E-care systems
In partnership with Innovation Sprint, the GENERATOR RWD team integrated the use of the Healthentia platform into clinical trials, which allows: remote clinical monitoring and assistance of patients involved in prospective clinical trials, use of an integrated dashboard...
Organization of trials – Distributed Learning
Implementation of distributed learning systems to carry out multicenter studies in full compliance with the principles of privacy and protection of both data and methodologies adopted.
Organization of trials – Sandbox
The sandbox is a virtual environment available at the Generator Center, which allows partner researchers, who carry out joint studies with the RWD Generator team, to operate in full compliance with Privacy and GDPR regulations (without directly accessing sensitive data) having at the same time a wide range of methods and algorithms for searches of common interest available.
Organization of trials – Virtual Patients
Using data clustering services and predictive models, the Real World Data team supports the execution and optimization of studies, through introduction of phenotypic clusters⎯virtual patients⎯or development of simulated endpoints⎯virtual trials⎯which can reduce the overall execution time of the study.
